Only silence is recorded
Cannot hear anything during recording
Recording is distorted
Recording contains stutters or defects not in the original
Volume is not loud enough or is too loud
Volume level is reset every time recording starts
Recording stops suddenly or is too short
Recording is too fast or too slow
Make sure the playback speed fader is set to 1.0 in the Control window.
Check to see if existing files not recorded in GoldWave play at the correct speed.
Update your sound card driver. Some defective drivers record at the wrong speed.
Quality is poor or only one channel is recorded
24 bit quality is selected, but GoldWave shows 16 bit in status bar
