- Recording
  - Only silence is recorded
  - Cannot hear anything during recording
  - Recording is distorted
  - Recording contains stutters or defects not in the original
  - Volume is not loud enough or is too loud
  - Volume level is reset every time recording starts
  - Recording stops suddenly or is too short
  - Recording is too fast or too slow
    - Make sure the playback speed fader is set to 1.0 in the Control window.
    - Check to see if existing files not recorded in GoldWave play at the correct speed.
    - Update your sound card driver. Some defective drivers record at the wrong speed.
  - Quality is poor or only one channel is recorded
  - 24 bit quality is selected, but GoldWave shows 16 bit in status bar
  - An error occurs
