Scheduling all Passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA), and Federal Benefits (Social Security) appointments at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem or the Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv can be done FREE of CHARGE at our website at

All Social Security, passport, CRBA, and visa forms and applications are FREE and publicly available. We do not endorse any third party to schedule an appointment for you. The U.S. Embassy does not have business relationships with any third-party schedulers, travel agents, or travel consultants. Any third-party claims guaranteeing advanced appointments ahead of our queue are not legitimate. In addition, using a third party will not guarantee you an earlier appointment. Above all, sharing your personal information to third-party companies could compromise your identity.
Please do not book an appointment for any service that can be done by mail. Applications by
mail include passport renewals using
form DS-82; replacements of emergency passports using
form DS-5504; applications for first-time Social Security Numbers for applicants under age 12 using
form SS-5; and applications for replacement Social Security Cards for applicants of any age using
form SS-5.Individuals age 12 or older applying for a Social Security number for the first time must appear in person for the interview. The health and safety of those who work at and visit our embassy facilities are our highest priority. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in line with the U.S., Israel, and Palestinian Authority governments’ public health guidance, the Consular Sections at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and the U.S. Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv continue to provide limited in-person emergency services. A very limited number of routine passport and Consular Report of Birth Abroad appointments are self-booked through our website:
https://il.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passport-services/. If no appointments are available on our website and you have urgent need for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad and US passport, please follow the instructions on this link to request an appointment.
All emergency applicants are offered the first available appointment. Due to health, safety, and extremely limited staffing, appointments are extremely limited, and availability is subject to change as appointments are scheduled. Currently, the first available emergency appointments are in
mid-May. All earlier emergency appointments are already scheduled, and we are unable to accommodate requests for earlier appointments.
